안녕하세요!♥ KOREA
7D5N.
hey (girlfriendsboyfriendsbest/goodfriendsseniorsjuniors) , I'M BACK FROM KOREA! ooh yay. It's a rather good trip, unique and fascinating :D Zomg, im gonna turn into a korea fan soon. 'Cos now i've decided to self-study korean, and continue eating kimchi and seaweed hahaha :} It's sooooo interesting to experience and witness the Korean culture, and y'know, the recent US beef crisis. There's an anti-government protest/riot going on outside the government hse, and i sorta witnessed all of that. The heavy vehicles, students and police that were there...what a sight to withhold...o.o
Instead of boring everyone with a day-to-day journal which i always tend to do -.- , i'll just list down a few things and summarise my trip hahaha :D
Koreans eat kimchi everyday and every meal, i do when i was there for the past week. Wow and now i really like kimchi (: Its apparently very very good for your health, top 5 healthy food in the world.
I eat steamboat everyday there :O in korean cooking, the sauce and materials are more important than how you cook it.
Koreans eat their bbq meat wrapped in cabbage with bean paste, which tasted like hamburger. amazingly delicious :D
Korean ginseng is the best in the world. It takes 6 years to grow the best ginseng and after that, the soil reminds barren for 12 years. Awww. reason being the nutrients of the soil are all taken in by the ginseng :\ ginseng is damn ex. The powder form of it cost like SGD400 omfffgg.
Koreans spend 70% of their money on their looks (clothes, shoes, hairgrooming, plastic surgery!)
Apparently koreans takes care of their lifestyle quite a lot. Eating habits and Etiquettes are impt to them.
Speaking about plastic surgery, it seems about 70% of them do it. And parents give it to them as graduation gifts before starting working life. So its no wonder that there are so many pretty Koreans girls around, with their nose looking so damn nice =) First day at the airport, i started suspecting that those noses are all plastics :)
Korean girls are really heavily covered with makeup, there's always people putting on makeups in the toilet (no fail!) and you never know who has done surgery on their nose :P
Surprisingly, never really seen any hot korean guys. sad case yeah? The guys are usually short. The taller ones are skinny and nerdy.
I highly suspect that its koreans' trend for getting specs with wide black frame. Both genders adopts this.
Koreans like bangs a lot. They cut straight bangs. Some guys and teens look quite, unfortunately, toot in it. Owells, as long as they find it nice. Whatever larh.
Koreans are damn healthy. There's also no oil, fried food...Only food that are heavily seasoned, stir-fried, boiledand cold dish. No wonder you dont see fat people on the streets.
Korean girls has got fair and pimple-free skins :D
Koreans go to sauna completely naked and when i went to Aqua world, some aunties walked around naked in the women's section O:
Koreans are really enthusiastic especially in doing their job. In Everland theme park and Lotte world, every employee wave their hands in a rather cute way. Even the icecream sellers do so too :P
Korea has good facilities. Prices there are really like a bomb! A simple necklace which you can get for SGD8 can cost over SGD30?! Clothes cost that much too, so i might as well buy more clothes zzz...
Seoul is a damn cool place! Its a fashion feast to the eyes :D There's a 9.4km long canal located in the city centre of Seoul. A natural and smoothing sight in the midst of the hectic business distinct ;)
Yongpyeong is an ideal place for skiing...too bad its summer ): but i still like the huge stage and natural environment there!
Incheon, didnt go, but KT darling is back there now! Cant believe we both escaped from s'pore to korea! too bad we cant meet in korea, if not it'll be so great :D
i went to see the places where they film DaeJungGuem, Winter Sonata and so on...LOL
Streets in Korea ends with 'Dong', in chinese, its dong4, making it sounds like some caves -.-
The weather and sceneries there are so much well-off than S'pore :) I lovee the cooling breeze :D
Everyone's so fashionable in korea.
Tried almost all kinds of korea food, tidbits and all that...YUMMY =DD
In conclusion, I LOVE KOREA! :D
Typical korean meal:
rice for each person in a small stainless steel bowl
with a cover placed directly in front of us. hot soup for each person in a larger bowl or other liquid foods shared from a large pot in the center
of the table. a set of stainless steel spoon for rice and soup, and chopsticks
for banchan and various small bowls of shared banchan side dishes.
Gosh, cant believe i ate all these for 1 week *faint* But of course, i had western breakfast, fastfood and chinese breakfast too. If not i think i'll be hating kimchi now...Mommy brought quite a lot of facial masks, creams etc. cos they're cheaper in korea :) while I bought shoes, clothes...blahblah didnt really spent too much 'cos its really ex :\
haha will upload photos later on and let them speak about the trip!
Au revoire,
TAKEMYHAND:D
