!!I WATCH "THE WAY HOME"!!

yesh. hui2 jia1. the korea movie shown in s'pore before quite a long time ago. it touches many hearts during life-skills camp (character education movie) when the sec1s watched it. =) and of course, i find it a very nice and meaningful movie. It was shown on channel u from 11.30pm to 1.30am. its actually quite late lorh. i waited very long to watch it again. and i only watched until 12.15am. too sleepy le :S but i slept only at 1am. hahahahax.

it's just a simply story. but we all <33333333 it, right?

It is a touching story about a spoiled city boy, Sang Woo, whose single mom falls on hard times. The mom has no choice but to ship the boy off to the rural mountain town where his grandma lives. The grandmother is a hunchback ah-ma =P. She's also mute and illiterate.Despite the physical setbacks, she works diligently without complaining...and she treated her grandson like a treasure.
At first, the SangWoo treats his grandma with disrespect and apathy. he even called her. retard. stupid. idiot. all these. most of the time he tried to occupy himself with the things he brought from Seoul. he just simply thinks the grandma is a country bumpkin, esp. the part abt the Kentucky Fried Chicken...hahahx. xD
slow pace life in the countryside can be nice too =)
but after seeing all the sacrifices his ah-ma makes for him, he soon learns some important lessons about love, kindness, selflessness and humility =D. that's the touching part.
when he finally had to go back to Seoul with his mother, he actually taught her how to write...(funny part. LOLS). so that she could write to him and she would understand what he wrote to her. hahax. better prepare loads of tissues if u want to watch this show.
