Im lazy to blog...ZZZzzz...So afterall, our trip to Pasir Ris Park is cancelled! haish...i wonder if the outdoor games proposal still works =\ Anyway, the good news is. *drumrolls* The Japanese department will be screening movies at the MOELC Auditorium everyday, from 3pm to 5pm. YAY! hooorays. <33 movies =.= Monday wld be "Nitaboh -- The Founder of Tsugaru Shamisen". Although its not really an anime, but its an animated movie. It doesn't sound boring...its just an educational movie. BUT IT IS AN ANIME! *contradicting myself* Here's a summary: At a young age, Nitaroh is stricken with an illness that leaves him blind. He inherits the shamisen guitar once used by his mother and is taught its basics by a blind travelling shamisen player. In time with the help of friends old and new, he walks the paths that leads to his ultimate fate - that of founder of the Tsugaru style of shamisen play. And as you can see frm its official website. The movie had gotten "itself" quite a few awards. http://www.nitaboh.com/english/ I dunno why im i researching on these movies. =S but since there's nothing to do...y not? (LOL. how crap?) The one which would be shown on wednesday would be "Howl's Moving Castle", also an animated one. It's even nicer than the previous one. Young Sophie Hatter is cursed by the Witch of the Waste, and turns into an old hag. Ashamed of how she looks, she flees into the hills where a moving castle roams the hills. It is said to belong to the young and handsome wizard Howl, who has a bad reputation. Within the castle, Sophie befriends the fire demon Calcifer, who promises to help her become young again. One catch: she must help Calcifer to be free of Howl, and Calcifer cannot tell her how. However, Sophie agrees to stay and try to find out about the contract through other ways. Still, Howl can see that Sophie is under a spell like Calcifer can, and he falls in love with her for who she is and not for what she looks like. Sophie manages to bring life to the moving castle, and she helps Howl to face his former tutor, Madam Suliman. Yup, that's the summary. Sounds more interesting than the first one right? It's by Hayo Miyazaki. Spirited Away is by him too! =)) LOL. i think they wld be in english...(THINK only...hahax). All the directors of the film r japanese. HAHAX. gonna be fun anyway. so we'll be watching movie in sch and at MOELC!! muahaha =DD Comment Here (: (0) / back to top? |
